There are many viable flooring choices for a bathroom. And, once you begin to do your research, you will find that there is no perfect flooring. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

A great interior design tip is to learn the art of subtlety. Some people prefer gaudy styles and that’s perfectly fine. But a lot of people just end up with tacky decorating because they’re overzealous and just don’t know when to stop themselves. All you have to remember is the saying “more is less”.

The first thing that had to be done was installation of a tile floor to finish the bathroom. Honestly, I was afraid I would get started, make a mess, and have to hire someone to come in and finish the bathroom floor tile.

If you want to add texture to your decorative tiles then consider etching them. To etch a tile you will want to select a ceramic tile that has been glazed. Then tape on a stencil and use either etching gel or a router with a sandpaper attachment to etch the design into the tile.

Kitchen and bathroom floors often take the brunt of the abuse in our homes. It’s usually better to work on them more often than our weekly household cleaning schedule dictates. When we cook, we often spill food and drink, as well as splash water around while we’re scrubbing vegetables or washing our hands. In the bathroom, hair spray and other products go with gravity and head for the floor. These rooms are ideal for combined cleaner/ polisher. Many homes use hardwood flooring or look-alike tile in which case mops with hardwood floor cleaners are appropriate.

When you strip and wax the floor you basically remove the existing layer of finish and add to it a new, fresh layer. The actual stripping process is quite challenging and labor intensive. First you use a mop to apply stripper that should sit for a couple of minutes in place. You then use a low speed buffer with an abrasive pad to remove the wax. The resulting dirt should be vacuumed so the surface is clean again. Then you do the process a few more times until all the finish is removed.

Installing tile flooring is a very rewarding project for three reasons. First, you get that feeling of satisfaction of a job well done. Buy a few new tools. Learn a few new skills. Bleed a little. It’s great. Hey it’s hard in many lines of work now to point to what you’ve done. Here’s another chance to actually build something that you can see and use.

One key is to actually write out a weekly household cleaning schedule. Seeing something in black and white gives us a much better sense of just what needs to be done. Once you list your chores, you can decide if you want to devote an entire day off every week to doing them. You may find that there are some things you can do during the weekday evenings, thus freeing up a little more time to relax.

Grout. Get sanded or unsanded depending partly on the grout line size. What about colors? The choices are endless since you can get them custom mixed.

If all else fails, having super glue stuck to your surfaces is not the worst thing. It can be cleverly hidden if you are creative enough. The most important thing to remember is that working with volatile substances requires a bit of care. Always cover your surfaces so that if the glue does spill, it is easy to clean up and does not lead to frustration over damages that may occur.
